Length of the firmware update

The Stiliger Service App uses the existing KNX infrastructure to communicate with the devices. Besides the operational KNX programming interface of the ETS, this also includes line couplers, media couplers or IP routers. The maximum programming speed can only be achieved when both the KNX interface and all other devices involved in communication support the Extended Frame Format with the maximum telegram length and the telegram load in the KNX system is also low.

In particular, if current firmware versions are to be loaded into multiple devices, it may be wise to select only devices of one line and to use a suitable KNX interface in the appropriate line.

When the devices have been selected and the priority set, the Stiliger Service App displays a first estimated value of the length of the programming operation. After the start of the operation, the Stiliger Service App checks the actual transmission speed and continuously adjusts the displayed length.
